Permanent Mold Casting Tolerances

Able to cast parts with high mechanical properties and good surface finishes, this process is also known for its good dimensional repeatability and a reduced need for machining, effectively lowering production costs.
Part sizes that can be casted using permanent mold or gravity die casting range from 50 grams (0.5 ounces) to 70 kilograms (150 pounds).

Linear Casting Tolerances for Permanent Mold Aluminum Castings
Noted below are guidelines for casting aluminum alloys. Though nearly any shape can be casted, the guidelines below are characteristic of more cost effective parts that are manufactured more easily and with the minimum amount of problems and defects.
